In the event of school closure due to bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances we will do our best to notify parents and carers as soon as possible at the start of the day via ParentMail. If you are not registered for ParentMail please enquire at the school office.
If you are registered please remember to update your details, such a new mobile phone numbers, by logging onto the ParentMail2 website.
In the event that we are unable to send out a ParentMail notification school closures will be updated on the Essex County Council website mentioned below.
This allows parents to keep up-to-date about unplanned school closures (due to bad weather for example) faster and more effectively via the internet.
Notifications from schools are added to a live feed on the emergency school closures page on the council’s website. Please click on this link to go directly to the page: http://www.essex.gov.uk/education-schools/schools/dates/pages/emergency-school-closures.aspx
This feed will continue to update as notifications of school closures are received. The page will refresh at 6pm each evening and closure lists for the next day will then go live.
Local radio stations will continue to support local schools in getting vital school closure messages out in as many ways as possible, including signposting listeners to the school closures page on the council’s website.
