Change to Termly Learning Conferences

Changes to our Termly Learning Conferences

This year we are trialing a new system. We will be holding our Termly Learning Conference (Parent’s evening) throughout the day on Wednesday 8th November 2017, which is a non-pupil day.

Appointments will be available from first thing in the morning, to early evening.

We hope that this change will enable more parents to come along, with their child, to meet with  teacher and discuss their child’s learning.

Please put this date in your diaries. Letters will be sent home with further details nearer the time.

Changes to morning registration

In order to improve our procedures in the morning, I would like to inform parents that the entrances to the classrooms will be closed at 8.50 am. If you arrive after the doors have been shut, please make your way to the main office where the children will be recorded as late, and allowed to enter the school.

Uniform Policy

We have now uploaded our Uniform Policy onto the school website. Please go to the Our Academy header then select Our Policies from the drop down box.

Key points to note are that Children are not permitted to wear earrings for PE. They have to be removed by the child. Only one pair of gold/silver studs or small sleepers may be worn.

Hair: Extreme hairstyles (such as shaved shapes/patterns or colours other than natural hair colours are not permitted. Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back.

Makeup and nail varnish are not permitted.

Co-op Dividend Account

White Hall Academy now has its own Co-op share account. Other Co-op members are able to donate their dividends on purchases to the Academy. If you would like to do this you just need to quote our Dividend number 634796 when making purchases from any East of England Co-op.

The dividends can be cashed in and  used to purchase extra resources for the school.
